Keeping manufacturing within United States borders is an important factor that impacts the livelihood of thousands, if not millions of people. Ensuring that every American can enjoy the prosperity brought by an American-made car, like the KiaOptima, is an extremely important factor to us at Crown Kia of Tyler, both as Americans and Texans.
Kia began manufacturing in the United States following increased demand. The Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia facility is where some of the brand’s most iconic cars are created. Located in West Point, Georgia, the Kia manufacturing facility gives back to the community each and every day.
Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia directly created more than 15,000 jobs among both plant staff and suppliers. More than 40 percent of all Kia vehicles are built at the West point facility. The plant operates on a “one-system/one-team” setting that fosters trust, respect, and communication among team members.
The West Point, Georgia manufacturing facility will continue to employ thousands of people for the foreseeable future. The plant will also continue to produce some of the brand’s most popular cars, namely the Kia Optima. So far, Kia has produced more than two million vehicles in the United States in one of the most sophisticated and environmentally-friendly facilities in the country.
