For a city that’s relatively young compared to other, larger cities in the United States, Dallas is a bustling, flourishing center of growth and city life. Founded in the late 1890s and early 1900s, the city took off following the innovation of the railroads, and steadily grew through the 20th century until it became one of the most well-known American cities. These days, Dallas is swarming with night life to enjoy, places to see, food to eat, and plenty of other attractions just waiting to be discovered.
A number of different arts and entertainment districts light up the streets of Dallas with fun things to see and do. The Arts District, Bishop Arts District, Design District, and a number of other communities like Oak Lawn, West End, and Deep Dellum all do their part in Dallas’s growing reputation as a mecca of the art and entertainment world. Whether you’re looking for beautiful visual art, underground live music, or just the atmosphere of a more free, independent art scene, Dallas has it.
Dallas is also home to more mainstream attractions, as well. Art museums, theaters, history centers, and even the unique Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament experience are all located in Dallas.
